OUR STORY IS MY FAVORITE

Because all great love stories begin as a fairytale (& because I am embracing cheesy) I thought it fitting to start with...

Once upon a time....

A young girl was introduced to a dashing young man one Christmas Eve event.  It was this one charismatic meeting that set the course of two into one.  The maiden was strong willed and independent with her eyes bent toward the daring, and yet her feet set firmly beneath her.  The young man was full of stubborn bravado and hopeless romantic dreams possessing every goodness that comes with a heart of loyalty and honesty.  The two didn't see one another again until one fateful Easter holiday that forever sealed them together as time would tell.  Later during the heat of one magical endless summer, that only the young can experience, they quickly became the very best of friends.  They laughed constantly, but the young girl did not particularly like the idea of serious relationships at a young age.  Her heart was sold on big dreams of another time and place.   The young prince charming, however, was tireless in his pursuit of the heart of the beautiful young maiden.  The time came, however, that the young prince had to leave to finish his duties in a far away land called college. There were tears, a kiss, and goodbyes.  Little did the girl know that the story was only just beginning.  The prince wrote letters to her everyday when he had to be in his far away land.  Sometimes there were 2 letters that came to her at once awaiting the maiden that filled her heart with joy.  The prince would write her when he woke and again before he slept.  Through the letters and telephone conversations the maiden came to see the heart of the young man.  He drove for hours to get to her on the weekends to see her.  He wanted to show the maiden how he would spend the rest of his days making her dreams come true. The girl finally listened to what her heart had whispered to her all along.  There were plans meant for her that she could never have dreamed possible.... a much different and unexpected dream began to set place in her heart that would bring more happiness than any other adventure she could ever have  imagined.  No longer would fear, opinions, or even logic get in the way of this love that was as strong and as sure as death.  Logic broke itself upon the rock of what would be.  The maiden said she could never move away from the place she had committed to study the liberal arts.  Loved ones had invested in her future and she had earned a scholarship.  The young man sold his trusty old steed (so actually it was a motorcyle) to buy the lady a beautiful diamond ring to prove his love and commintiment.   He promised to uphold and cherish her dreams to finish her studies and support her every wish and desire.  She said YES and they lived happily ever after.....after lots of hard work, a curve ball they named Riley, sweat, blood, adventures, and sometimes tears.....they lived happily ever after.  Many years later, they still dance to the beat of their own beautiful music to this very day.
